  • Class 1. 2’3” Open, horses and ponies any height, riders any age.
  • Class 2. 2’6” Open, horses and ponies any height, riders any age.
  • Class 3. 2’9” Open, horses and ponies any height, riders any age.
  • Class 4. 3’0” Open, horses and ponies any height, riders any age.

    There will be a timed jump-off in all classes.

  • Ring Two: Clear Round Jumping

    Start: 9.00am

    Height will increase throughout the morning at the discretion of the judge.

    Will finish promptly at 12.30 pm.

    Entry Fee: £2.00 per round.
    Rosettes to all Clear Rounds.

    Ring Two: Novice Jumping

  • Class 5a. 1’6” Novice - assisted – may be led.
  • Class 5b. 1’6” Novice - unassisted.
  • Class 6. 1’9” Novice.
  • Class 7. 2’0” Novice.
  • Class 8. Baton Pairs Relay, to be timed. Jumps will not exceed 2’0”
    Classes 5 – 8 are restricted to genuine Novice Horse/Pony/Rider Combinations. Classes 5 -7 Jump off will be timed.

  • Ring Three: In Hand

    Start: 9.00 am

  • Class 9. Riding Horse/Pony. 4 years and under. If sufficient entries, class will be split at 14.2hh. Special Rosette to Best Yearling in each section.
  • Class 10. Hunter Horse/Pony. 4 years and under. If sufficient entries class will be split at 14.2hh. Special Rosette to Best Yearling in each section.
  • Class 11. Competition Horse/Pony. 4 years and under. If sufficient entries class will be split at 14.2hh. Special Rosette to Best Yearling in each section.
    Championship for classes 9, 10 & 11 will follow immediately after class 11 The winner will be awarded the Stanwell House Trophy.
  • Class 12. Mountain and Moorland. Registered ponies of any British native breed, excluding New Forest. If sufficient entries class will be divided into large and small breeds. Special Rosette for Best Yearling in each section. State Breed and Registration No on Entry Form
  • Class 13 New Forest. Registered Ponies. Special Rosette to Best Forest Bred and Best Yearling. Registration No to be stated on Entry Form.
    Championship for classes 12 & 13 will follow immediately after class 13.
  • Ring Three: Ridden Classes

    Start: Not before 1.30 pm.

  • Class 14. Best Turned Out. Horse/pony and rider.
    Special Rosette to Best Unplaited Mountain & Moorland
  • Class 15. Lead Rein Pony. Ponies not exceeding 12.2hh and riders to be 10 years or under on the date of the show.
  • Class 16. First Ridden Pony. Ponies not exceeding 13.2hh Riders aged 12 years or under on date of show. Competitors will only be asked to canter in their individual show.
  • Class 17. Family Pony. Must be suitable to be ridden by a child and an adult. Will be asked to canter as a group and may include obstacles.
  • Class 18. Riding Club Horse/Pony. Competitors may be asked to jump a small fence. If sufficient entries class will be divided at 14.2hh.

  • Class 20. Best Child Handler. 14 years and under on the date of show. To be judged on correct handling, turnout and showing ability. Conformation will not be judged. Special Rosette to Best under 8 years on the date of show.
  • Class 21. Coloured Horse/Pony.
    Special Rosette to Best Spotted.
  • Class 22. Veteran. Horse or Pony to be over 18 years of age. Age to be displayed on bridle.
  • Class 23. Cob/Cob Type
  • Class 24. Ridden Veteran. Horse or Pony to be over 18 years of age. Age to be displayed on the bridle.
    Championship for classes 22 & 24 will follow immediately after class 24.
  • Ring Four: Ridden Clases

  • Class 25. Cob/Cob Type.
  • Class 26. Riding Horse/Pony. May be shown in a snaffle bridle. If sufficient entries the class will be divided at 14.2hh.
  • Class 27. Mountain and Moorland. Excluding New Forest. If sufficient entries class will be divided into large and small breeds. Breed and Registration No to be stated on entry Form.
  • Class 28. New Forest. Registration No to be stated on entry Form.
  • Class 29. Non-Show Type Horse/Pony. To be judged on presentation, turnout and manners.
  • Class 30. Show Hunter Horse/Pony. May be shown in a snaffle bridle. If sufficient entries class will be divided at 14.2hh.

  • Ring Five: Working Hunter

  • Class 31. Novice Working Hunter. Jumps will not exceed 2’.0’’. Restricted to horses and ponies not to have been placed in any jumping class during 2009.
  • Class 32. Open Working Hunter. Open to horses and ponies, riders any age. Jumps not to exceed 2’3’’.
  • Class 33. Open Working Hunter. Open to horses and ponies, riders any age. Jumps not to exceed 2’6’’.
  • Class 34. Open Working Hunter. Open to horses and ponies, riders any age. Jumps not to exceed 2’9’’.
  • Class 35. Open Working Hunter. Open to horses and ponies, riders any age. Jumps not to exceed 3’0’’.

  • Dressage

  • Class 36. Preliminary 7 (2002)
  • Class 37. Combined Training. Preliminary 7 combined with Class 1 (2’3’’ Open Jumping). Riders entering classes 37 & 39 will only need to ride the test and show jump once.
  • Class 38. Preliminary 18 (2002).
  • Class 39 Combined Training. Preliminary 18 combined with Class 2 (2’6’’ Open Jumping). Riders entering Classes 37 & 39 will only need to ride the test and show jump once.
  • Class 40 Novice 28 (2008)
  • Dressage Cont.

    Start: 1.30 pm approx

  • Class 41. Introductory A (2008). This is a walk and trot only test aimed at the less experienced horse/rider. (Test sheet available from British Dressage).
  • Class 42. Preliminary 10 (2002).
  • Class 43. Novice 25 (2005) or Elementary 41.

    Riders to state on Entry Form which test they wish to ride.
    Riders may book a time for their tests with the Dressage Secretary adjacent to the arenas. Entries restricted to the first 25 received in each class by the closing date. Late entries will only be accepted if space is available.

    Special Rosettes and Prizes will be presented to Best 16 years and under and Best 40 years and over in classes 36 – 43, eligibility MUST be stated on entry form.

    Dressage Tests will be run under British Dressage Rules.
